Stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life, and how important it is to take time for yourself, and learning to appreciate the quiet and stillness of ‘Being’.
I was inspired to write this at one of my favourite spots, which is a family park with man-made lake. In the middle of the lake is a fountain that goes 24/7, and lights up at night. This lake and park is surrounded by beautiful trees, lovely walks. A children’s playground, making it ideal for family outings, and you have the ducks and birdlife, which the children’s have great delight in feeding them.
I found myself writing about what this area does for me. I love sitting under a beautiful willow tree, appreciating the beauty and abundance that surrounds me. Allowing myself to ‘be’, to connect with nature, recharge my batteries, tune into my spirit, losing myself in a good book, which all helps me become centred and balance.
We all live in a busy world, focused on what’s next, and overwhelmed with life. It’s important to have a place where you can unwind, relax and appreciate the stillness and ‘being’. Nature can help through healing your soul, and giving displays of the beauty and abundance that is around you every day of your lives. Which many take for granted.
There may be people out there, that feel they don’t have the time to step away from some situations, even for an hour or so a week. I do understand that, I am not immune from life. On my journey, I have in my life, people with health issues, family problems, that leave them feeling shattered.
This is one of the reasons I have this beautiful place in nature, I can go to, listening to water from the fountain, allowing my favourite willow tree to soothe my soul and uplift me, and recharge my batteries.
It helps me to keep riding the wave of positivity, joy and happiness, and at the same time, allows me to Let Go of the negative wave, which can sneak up and drain you, when you least expect it.
Every one requires time out, it’s important to find the time and have a place where you feel safe, and re-connect with who you are. This is how Nature can help you. It is important to have that quiet time for yourself, where you recharge and rejuvenate, it can do wonders for you.
Ways to see if you are in overwhelm, lacking direction and motivation
- You forget to take time out for yourself, or always putting it off for later or another day
- You’re putting everything else first, people, work, before your own requirements
- Always checking your phone for messages, emails, Facebook, twitter or Instagram
- You often have a short fuse, and react to situations automatically without thinking
- You have lost inspiration, feel uninspired, lack motivation, and your creativeness has gone
This happens to everyone getting bogged down with life, and often you are not even aware it’s happening. This is part of your journey as you grow and evolve to be the best that you can be. When you are hit with overwhelm, it’s a sign to take time out, rest, relax, put yourself first, and do something that you love. Even if it’s sitting under a tree reading a book, this alone can transport you into a new perspective, uplift and re-energise you.
